Bennie's Homes, locally owned and operated since 1971 has been sold. It is
rumored that Bennie's has been bought by Nelson homes.

Bennie's has been one of Lynchburg's leading manufactured home dealers for over
35 years. They will certainly be missed.

In a market dominated by huge corporations, Bennie's Homes was a refreshing
change in the dog eat dog competitive market place of manufactured housing. The
owner Art Bunnell has always taken a hands on approach to running his business
and unlike the large corporate dealerships, Art took pride in staking his
reputation on every home sale.

It is unclear at this time if Bennie's will continue to do business as "Bennie's
Homes" or if the name will change. One thing is for certain however, the
Bennie's Homes that Central Virginia folks have come to know and trust will be
under totally new management if it continues to exist at all.
